8.1 Switching On
When using a gas discharge lamp, the external
supply unit must be turned on separately.
Switch on the microscope at the on/off switch
(45.4).
8.2 Stages and Object Displacement
Lengthening the Coaxial Pinion
• For lengthening, pull the lower grip (44.1)
downward. Repeat with the upper grip (44.2).
Torque Adjustment
The torque for x and y can be individually adjust-
ed using two knurled rings (44.2, 44.4).
