• Remove the knife from the knife holder, see (

p. 65 – 7.6 Knife) .
• Lock the window, see ( → p. 20 – 3.3.3 Window) .
• Open the chamber lid, see ( → p. 20 – 3.3.4 Cabinet) .

• Remove the screws (

Fig. 87- 1 ) and loosen screws (

Fig. 87- 2 ) . When removing the screws
(

Fig. 87- 1 ) , make sure that the spacer rings (

Fig. 87- 3 ) between the bracket (

Fig. 87- 4 ) and
the microtome (

Fig. 87- 5 ) do not get lost.
• Fold down the belt covers (
→
Fig. 87- 6 ) .
• Disconnect the connections (
→
Fig. 87- 7 ) on the left side of the cabinet (not on the microtome).
• Fasten cables or straps that have a sufficient carrying capacity to the carrying handles ( → Fig. 87- 8 ) .
• Carefully lift the microtome ( → Fig. 87- 5 ) out of the cabinet using the crane.
• In doing so, securely fasten the microtome (
→
Fig. 87- 5 ) to prevent rotation or vibrations as this could
lead to damage to the cabinet.
