14 REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MAINTENANCE COMPANY
A maintenance company in the sense of this manual, which meets all requirements, must fulfil the
following points:

A maintenance company must have sufficient qualified personnel for maintenance work and
troubleshooting.
▪
Maintenance personnel must have appropriate training and experience in the area being
used.
▪
Regular training and further education of these personnel must be ensured.
▪
The maintenance company must provide the operator with a maintenance plan adapted to
the system to ensure the greatest possible availability and safety of the system.
▪
The maintenance company must take the plant-specific maintenance work into account in
its maintenance plan and ensure that this work is carried out.
▪
The company and their maintenance staff must have sufficient technical equipment to carry
out all required activities safely.
▪
The maintenance company must have all necessary original spare parts quickly available at
all times.
▪
The maintenance company must inform the operator about the condition of the system and
about any repair work.
▪
The maintenance company, in cooperation with the operator, must ensure the observation
of the system in order to detect changes in the operating behaviour and to initiate necessary
maintenance or repair work.
▪
The maintenance company must have appropriate and sufficient insurance cover.
▪
The maintenance company must record every intervention that occurred due to a fault.
