C ove rage te sting has been

WD 7 guideline. For best
p e r fo r m a n ce, use in spaces not
l a rger than 18’ x 15’.

PIR Sensor

The sensor has a two - t i e red, multi-
cell viewing Fresnel lens with 180
d e g ree field of view. The red LED
on the sensor flashes when the PIR
d e tects motion.

Masking the lens

Opaque adhesive tape is supplied
so that sections of the PIR sensor’s
v i ew can be masked. You ca n
e l i m i n a te cove rage in unwanted 
a reas. Since masking re m ove s
bands of cove rage, ta ke this into
a ccount when tro u b le s h o o t i n g
cove rage pro b le m s .

Ultrasonic Sensor

The sensor has two ultrasonic tra n s ce i ve rs operating at 40kHz. Dete c t i o n
sensitivity can be adjusted using the trimpot under the ON/OFF butto n s .

Trigger Mode

The DW sensor has 4 occupancy trigger options, set with DIP switches 5 and 6.
D e termine the appro p r i a te option using the Trigger matrix.

In the Trigger Mode DIP switch setting ta b le ,
in order to deem the area occupied:

Initial Occ u p a n c y

: The method that activa tes a change from “Standby” (are a

u n o ccupied and load off) to “Occupied” (area occupied and load may turn on). 

M a i n tain Occ u p a n c y :

The method indicating that the area is still occupied and the

lights should remain on.

R e - t r i g g e r :

In Automatic Mode, after the load turns off, detection by the sele c te d

te c h n o logy within the number of seconds indica ted turns the lights back on. If the
load was turned on with the ON/OFF button, the re-trigger time is 30 seco n d s .
