Setup parameters for the entire filter set belonging to an
output channel can be copied and pasted into another
output channel also. This can save a lot of time when
multiple output channels need the same filter set. There
are two ways to do this:
Right click somewhere outside the Filter set notebook
and choose Copy Filter Set from the popup menu. Then
select the page for the destination output channel, right
click somewhere outside the Filters notebook, and
choose Paste Filter Set from the popup menu.
With the source output compressor page selected,
choose Edit->Copy Filter Set from the Menu Bar. Then
select the page for the destination output channel and
choose Edit->Paste Filter Set from the Menu Bar. If you
wish to paste the copied filter set to ALL output chan-
nels, then choose Edit->Paste Filter Set to ALL from the
Menu Bar instead.
At times it may be necessary to restore filter settings to
their default values. To do this right click within the filter
page and choose Set to default values from the popup
menu.
Frequency response graph
Each output channel page contains a graph which dis-
plays two plots:
• The frequency response of the currently selected
output filter (red line)
• The total frequency response for the output channel
(blue line)
The plot for the currently selected filter contains handles
which can be used as an alternative way to change the
center frequency, boost/cut, or bandwidth of the filters
with the mouse. Left click on a handle and move the
mouse while keeping the left mouse button down until
the handle is positioned as you like. Release the left
mouse button and the adjustment is complete. As you
do this the related numerical control will be updated
with the exact value corresponding to the position of
the handle. At all times the impact of changes to the
currently selected filter on the overall response of the
channel are visible in the blue plot. Frequency and gain
are set by a single handle - movement in the horizon-
tal axis controls frequency, movement in the vertical
axis controls gain. Bandwidth handles move only in the
horizontal axis.
The amplitude scale of the graph can be selected as
one of two ranges, -15 to +15 or -30 to +30 (dB gain) by
means of the radio buttons below the graph.
