Operating Instructions
– To reduce the risk of electric shock,

• Plug directly into a wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord, adapter or surge protector.

– To reduce the risk of serious injury:
• Do not attempt to disassemble or service the pump or motor; no serviceable parts are
inside. Contact your La-Z-Boy
®
dealer for service.
• Check the condition of the power supplies, electrical cords, plugs, and connectors
often. Keep the power supplies and electrical cords away from heat sources.
Never operate the unit with a damaged power supply, electrical cord, plug,
or connector. Contact your La-Z-Boy
®
dealer for service.
• The La-Z-Time
®
power units are intended for a single occupant, not exceeding 300 pounds
per seat. Do not operate individual seats or units with more than one occupant in or on
any part of the individual seat or unit.
WARNING
Operating the Unit:
To avoid product damage, the back recline and legrest extension features should not be operated
continuously for extended periods of time. After 1 minute of continuous operation, allow these
features to rest for 9 minutes.
Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet. Never stretch or strain a cord.
The power features are operated by the toggles on the Control Panel located on the outside arm.
Each feature has a dedicated toggle for operation.
•
Press rearward on the Recline (bottom) toggle to recline the back and raise the legrest.
Release the toggle when the back and legrest reach the desired position, or are fully reclined.

Press the Headrest and Lumbar toggles forward to increase the amount of adjustment.
Press the toggle rearward to decrease the amount of adjustment.

The Control Panel also features a Home button for personal, effortless operation and added
comfort. Press and release the Home button and the furniture automatically moves to its
home position.
Troubleshooting for Legrest Operation
If the legrest stops moving while closing, it may have encountered an obstruction.
1. Check to make sure there are no obstructions. Lift and hold the legrest up, look for obstructions
and remove them.
2. The legrest uses spring tension to close, and will close quickly when the obstruction is removed.
Release the legrest slowly to prevent it from slamming shut.
NOTICE:
After 1 minute of continuous operation, allow the system
to rest for 9 minutes.

USB Charging Port Instructions
Plug a small portable electronic device into the USB charging port.
The USB port is for charging only
and does not have data transferring capabilities.

WARNING
Recline and Return
Press the Recline and Return toggle rearward
and hold to extend the legrest and recline the
back. Or press it forward and hold to return
the legrest and back to the upright and fully
closed position. Release the button to stop the
legrest and back recline in any position, or
when fully reclined or fully retracted.
Lumbar Toggle
Press the Lumbar toggle forward and hold
to increase the lumbar intensity. Or press
it rearward and hold to decrease lumbar
intensity. Release the button to stop the
lumbar in any position, or when fully
extended or fully retracted.

Headrest Toggle
Press the Headrest toggle forward and hold to rotate the headrest forward.
Or press it rearward and hold to return the headrest. Release the button to
stop the headrest in any position, or when fully extended or fully retracted.
