Troubleshooting
If the legrest stops moving while closing, it may have encountered an obstruction.
Check the following:
1.
Make sure the legrest did not encounter an obstruction. Look for and remove all obstructions
and gently release the legrest to return it.
2.
If the legrest does not fully close, gently pull the legrest out approximately 1" from the body of
the unit and carefully let it go in an attempt to reset it.
3.
Refer to section below to confirm that the unit is receiving power.
4.
If the legrest does not close or has dropped to the floor, it is possible the mechanical safety device
is disengaged and the unit will not operate.
DO NOT
press any buttons or try to close the unit in
any way when the safety device is disengaged, as damage may occur. Contact a La-Z-Boy
®
dealer
for service.
If the power duo

unit does not work, check the following:
1.
Make sure the electrical outlet is working. For example, make sure there are no blown fuses or
tripped circuit breakers.

Check the power supply to make sure the green LED power indicator light is on. To do this, unplug
the 120 volt power cord from the electrical outlet, then disconnect the power supply from the unit.
Next, plug the power cord into the outlet and observe the status of the LED. If it is on, then the
power supply is working; if it is off, contact a La-Z-Boy
®
dealer for service.
3.
Make sure the 120 volt power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet.
4.
Make sure all the connectors are secure; refer to the
Assembly Instructions
.
5.
Make sure the electrical cords are not crimped or pinched. Make sure the electric cord
or plug is not damaged. Do not touch an exposed wire. Unplug immediately if damage is observed.
6.

in the individual seat or unit; refer to the

If the power duo
