8.3 TOOL HOLDER – DISSASEMBLY, REPLACEMENT OF ELASTIC ELEMENT AND BUFFERS
To replace worn out parts such as the elastic element, buffers etc., begin by removing the TOOL HOLDER from the
machine (section 8.2). With the tool holder removed:
[1] Lift up the locking pin using a screwdriver and slide out the retaining washer.

Take out all of the screws on the buffers and the nuts of the elastic element. Remove the flange.
[3] Flip the tool holder and remove the screws shown.
[4] Flip the tool holder again. Now the elastic element and buffers can be removed.
[5] With the buffers and elastic element removed, clean thoroughly the plate before proceeding.
[6] Rebuild the holder using new buffers, elastic element and screws. Slide back the retaining washer and push down on the
locking pin. This will prevent the washer from falling out when mounting the holder on the machine.
