Connecting a Near-Field Probe Directly to the FLS 106 PCB Scanner
18.2.1
If operated without a pre-amplifier, the RF measuring cable has to be connected to the near-field
probe's measurement output and directly to "RF in" input on the scanner's Z-axis tower
(Figure 105).

Note: The selection of the correct pre-amplifier depends on the measurement task and the near-
field probe used. Please contact us should you have any queries (chapter 24).
Connect the pre-amplifier's SMA output to the "RF in" input on the scanner's Z-axis tower
(Figure 106).

Connect the near-field probe's RF measuring cable to the pre-amplifier's SMA input (Figure 107).
Connect the pre-amplifier's power supply cable to the "12 V DC" connector on the Z-axis tower
(Figure 108).
