1. What comes with your onyxTOUCH?
The onyxTOUCH is a multi touch display which works with InGlass touch technology based
on total internal reflection of light. Following accessories are included:
Power supply cable for the display
Remote control for the display
Mains adaptor incl. cable
USB cable (USB Type A Male / A Male)
USB extension cable (USB Type A)
USB stick including all necessary documentation and software
2. Installation
2.1 Mechanical Installation
As onyxTOUCH display components are always LCD, some installations are not allowed.
This could be an installation in a table or maybe in portrait mode. Please make sure the
display manufacturer allows the way you want to install the display. In some cases it might
be necessary to install additional fans to guarantee a safe ventilation of the display.
2.2 Connection to PC
To use the system with a PC please connect the USB cable (Type A Male / A Male) with an
USB 2.0 port of the PC. Note that you have to use USB 2.0 because compatibility is not
complete at USB 3.0. If necessary you can also use the USB extension. Plug in the mains
adaptor at the onyxTOUCH and fix the nut carefully. Make sure that each cable is clipped to
the cable anchorage to prevent broken controller parts.
2.3 Installation on Linux/Android
onyxTOUCH supports ARM/Linux and ARM/Linux/Android, for both X86 and ARM. If the
Linux Kernel version is 3.5 or higher, the HID multitouch driver is included in mainline Kernel
and will work out-of-the-box. If 3.4 or older, you may need to apply a patch to add multitouch
support ("hid-multitouch driver with autodetection").
