ADJUSTMENTS
Returning Back to Home Position (From O
ff
set)
When you are
fi
nished cutting with the Lane Shark in any of its positions, it
is very important that you return it back to the home position. The Lane Shark is not
designed to be transported or stored in any other position except the home position.
On this page you will be shown how to correctly move the Lane Shark from the o
ff
set
position back to the home position. (Shown on pg. 30)
CAUTION
While changing positions on the Lane Shark there is a crushing hazard. DO
NOT place
fi
ngers, hands, or body between the Lane Shark and tractor while
changing positions.
1. Make sure all hydraulic hoses are disconnected from the Lane Shark.
2. Lift the boom of the tractor until the Lane Shark has enough clearance
between the ground to point directly down. (Shown in Figure 1)
STOP
before going any further make sure you have read and completed the
“Before you get started” section on page 29.
3. Pull both T-handle pins on the left and right sides of the Lane Shark.
4. On the backside of the mounting plate the position adjustment pin will protrude
roughly 1/2”. Remove the keeper pin from the position adjustment pin.
5. Pull the position adjustment pin until you see the small keeper pin hole.
6. Place the keeper pin into the hole on the position adjustment pin. This allows the
Lane Shark to rotate freely around the main pivot point.
7. Facing the front of the tractor pull the left side of the Lane Shark away from
the front of the tractor until the bottom of the cutting deck is o
ff
set and facing
away from the front of the tractor.
8. Facing the front of the tractor pull the left side of Lane Shark away from the
front of the tractor until it reaches the home position.
9. Facing the front of the tractor push the deck of the Lane Shark until it reaches
the locking pin on the backplate.
10. Reinstall both pins on the deck of the Lane Shark.
11. Reinstall both hydraulic Lines on the Lane Shark.
