3-14 TOOL TENSIONING
It is very important to keep your tool module
tension properly adjusted when using the 7130 To
the Max Roller Harrow. As you run your machine,
you should expect to adjust the tool tension after
the first 100 acres and then check daily after that.
IMPORTANT
OVERTIGHTENING THE TOOLS MAY CAUSE
PREMATURE BEARING FAILURE OR DAM-
AGE TO THE FRAME.
IMPORTANT
RUNNING THE TOOLS TOO LOOSE MAY
CAUSE POOR PERFORMANCE AND ACCEL-
ERATED
WEAR
ON
THE
BEARINGS,
U-BOLTS,
INDIVIDUAL
TOOLS,
AND/OR
COVER BOARDS.

When hanging in transport position, the cen-
ter of the tooling should not sag more than
two (2) inches down from the center line of
the bearings
(See Figures 3-25 and 3-26)

b.
During operation, rearward sag of 1" - 2"
from the original center line should be ob-
served.
