Unhooking The Tree/Post Puller
Refer to Figure 1-3:
1.
Park skid steer on a solid surface that is flat and level.
2.
Retract hydraulic cylinder (#4) to keep cylinder rod
from being exposed to the elements.
3.
Lower Tree/Post Puller onto the ground.
4.
Engage park brake, turn off engine, and remove key
to prevent unauthorized starting.
5.
If included, raise seat bar and move skid steer
controls until both are locked.
6.
Use steps, grab-handles and anti-slip surfaces when
stepping on and off the skid steer.
7.
Release all hydraulic system pressure before
disconnecting hydraulic hoses from the skid steer.
Refer to your Skid Steer Operator’s Manual for
detailed instructions.
8.
Disconnect hydraulic hoses (#1 & #2) from skid
steer. Store hoses on the Tree/Post Puller frame to
keep dirt away from the couplings.
9.
Disengage lock pins to clear bottom slots in hitch
plate.
10. Start skid steer engine and tilt top of skid steer hitch
slightly forward.
11. Slowly lower skid steer hitch until it has separated
from the Tree/Post Puller top angle bar.
12. Back skid steer slowly away while making sure the
skid steer hitch does not interfere with the puller.
13. Shut skid steer down to check overturn stability of the
unhooked Tree/Post Puller. Refer to
14. Make sure the unit will not tip over. If needed, add
bracing to keep unit from overturning.
