To avoid serious injury or death:
An unsupported parked tiller can tip over. Always use park
stand and/or support blocks to prevent it from tipping over
1. The RTR park stand (#1) is shipped from the factory
attached to the side panel, rotated down, and
secured with wire retaining pin (#2) as shown. If
shipped rotated up, rotate park stand down before
assembling components to this unit. Refer to
on page 22 for detailed
instructions.

2. The park stand (#1) should be adjusted up or down if
tiller weight is not resting on the stand when
unhooked from a tractor. Refer to
on page 27 for detailed instructions on
how to adjust the stand.

Refer to Figure 1-3:
1. Attach rubber deflector to tiller frame with smooth
side down by inserting 3/8

GR5 hex bolts
(#1) through 1 1/2" fender washers (#4), holes in
rubber deflector (#5), holes “A” in tiller frame, and lock
washers (#3).
2. Secure bolts (#1) with hex nuts (#2). Draw nuts up
snug, do not tighten until after all nuts are installed.
3. Tighten hex nuts (#2) to the correct torque.

NOTE:
If rubber deflector (#5) has a diamond
pattern on one side, install that side up. Smooth side
down will help keep dirt from collecting on the
underside of the deflector.
