10. Taking proper precautions, make necessary repairs
and adjustments.
11. Repeat steps 1-10 to make sure vibration problems
are fixed before putting cutter back into service.
Transport Lock
The cutter wing will need to be raised and locked before
transporting on a roadway or servicing the deck
underside. If cutter wing is down, it will need to be raised
before transporting through narrow openings.
1.
Disengage tractor power take-off and wait for cutter
blades to come to a complete stop before raising the
wing.
2. Raise cutter wing fully up with hydraulics.
3. Place tractor gear selector in park, shut tractor
engine off or set park brake, remove switch key, and
dismount from tractor.
4.
Remove hairpin cotter (#1) from
storage lug (#2).
5.
Rotate end of transport lock bar (#3)
to cylinder pin (#4). Secure with hairpin cotter (#1).
6. The cutter is now ready for transporting.
Transporting
WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:

Always raise wing and set transport lock before
•
When traveling on public roads, use LED lights, slow
•
Select a safe ground speed when transporting. Never travel
•
Watch while making tight turns to ensure that the rear
IMPORTANT:
Always disengage tractor’s power
NOTE:
The wing is controlled with a hydraulic lift
cylinder. Be certain that the wing hydraulics are
attached to the tractor and the hydraulic hose is full
of oil before proceeding.
