Implement Hook-Up to QH16

DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
A crushing hazard exists while hooking-up and unhooking the
implement. Keep people and animals away while backing-up
to the implement or pulling away from the implement. Do not
operate hydraulic controls while a person or animal is directly
behind the power machine or near the implement.
CAUTION
!
To avoid minor or moderate injury:
Release Handles have areas where pinching can occur. Keep
hands, fingers, and other body parts away from the pivoting
areas of the release handles. Always use the handle grips.
QH16 Upper Hook Adjustment
Refer to Figure 1-4:
The upper hook (#3) is normally adjusted for a standard
Cat. I hitch configuration. The upper hook will need
readjusting if the implement does not have a standard
Cat. I hitch configuration. Adjust upper hook as follows:
Refer to Figure 1-6 on page 15:
1. Lower 3-point arms and carefully backup to align
auto-lock hooks with implement’s lower hitch pins.
2. Without changing lift arm height, shut tractor down
using “Tractor Shutdown Procedure” on page 11.
3. With lower auto-locks aligned with lower hitch pins,
verify upper hook is also in alignment with the
implement’s upper hitch point.
4. If all three hooks align properly, skip to “Hook-up
Without Floating Top Links”
on page 13.
Otherwise, continue with step 5.
NOTE: Standard configuration for Land Pride
equipment with a Cat. I hitch is to secure upper
hook (#3) in the 4th hole up with clevis pin (#1B).
NOTE:
Hookup the Quick Hitch to the tractor before
proceeding with center hook adjustment.

Refer to Figure 1-4 & Figure 1-5:

Refer to Image A in Figure 1-5:
Remove rule
rings (#2) by pushing up on the bent end and pulling
back on rue ring (#2).
6. Remove clevis pins (#1A & #1B).
7. Move upper hook (#3) up or down as needed to align
the hook with the implement’s upper hitch point and
then replace clevis pins (#1A & #1B).
8. Replace rule rings (#2) as follows:

Refer to Image B in Figure 1-5:
Pull up on the bent
leg and push the rue ring into the clevis’ pin hole.

Refer to Image C in Figure 1-5:
Continue pushing
until the rule ring is automatically caught over the
end of the clevis pin.
