Section 1: Assembly & Set-up
OFM2660, OFM2672 & OFM2678 Offset Flail Mowers 333-142M

Refer to Figure 1-14:
4. Fit lower lift arms (#10) into hitch clevises (#1).
5. Secure lift arms (#10) with hitch pins (#2). Fasten
hitch pins with washers (#4) and linchpins (#3).
h
6. Fit the tractor’s top center link (#5) into clevis (#6).
Insert hitch pin (#7) and secure with flat washer (#8)
and linchpin (#9).
7.
Adjust the height of the lower lift arms (#10) to align
the mower’s rotor parallel with the terrain and to align
the mower’s input shaft horizontally with the tractor’s
power take-off output shaft.
h
8. The upper clevis (#6) has slots to compensate for
uneven ground and to keep the roller in contact with
the ground.
9. After setting the work height, adjust the length of the
top center link (#5) until hitch pin (#7) is close to the
rear of the slot to ensure that the mower will work
correctly. See Figure 1-15.
h
IMPORTANT:
Coupling the implement to the tractor
will be made easier if the tractor’s lift arm stabilizers
are allowed to move freely.
Once the implement is hitched to the tractor, adjust
the stabilizers to limit oscillation (Oscillation is not
permitted while transporting).
IMPORTANT:
When connecting the machine to the
tractor, check to make sure the power take-off is
rotating in the same direction indicated on the label
found on the flail mower (Counterclockwise while
standing facing the front of the mower).
IMPORTANT:
The center 3-point link is connected
correctly when the hitch pin is at the end of the slot
furtherest away from the tractor.
