h. With dust plugs installed, thread female
couplers (#16) onto straight ends of both hydraulic
hoses (#26). Tighten couplers to the hoses.
i. Place both assembled hydraulic hoses (#26) off to
the side for after installing the third function
bulkhead mount (#1).
Ports P & T
a. Install both adapter fittings (#14) into ports “P”
and “T” on third function valve (#18).
b. Install both elbow fittings (#13) onto adapter
fittings (#14). Orient elbow fittings orifices to face
solenoid side of the valve.
c. Connect straight-end of hydraulic hose (#27) to
elbow fitting (#13) installed into port “P”.
d. Connect straight-end of hydraulic hose (#28) to
elbow fitting (#13) installed into port “T”.
2. Verify all fittings, couplers, and hydraulic hoses have
been properly tightened.
NOTE:
Hydraulic hoses can be distinguished from
one another by referring to the hydraulic hose length
charts found on page 16 and page 18.
IMPORTANT:
If your tractor is equipped with a
backhoe, do not follow step “d” below. Instead,
refer to
“Hook-up Hose Kit to Valve Port “T””
Valve Preparation & Sub-assembly
Refer to Figure 1-1:
1. Before mounting valve to tractor, install all hydraulic
fittings to the third function valve (#18). Tighten each
fitting upon installation.
Ports A & B
a. Install both adapter fittings (#19) into ports “A”
and “B” on third function valve (#18).
b. Install black dust cap (#21) onto adapter
fitting (#19) that is installed into port “B” of third
function valve (#18).
c. Install green dust cap (#22) onto adapter
fitting (#19) that is installed into port “A” of third
function valve (#18).
d. Thread poppet style male coupler (#15) onto each
adapter fitting (#19).
e. Place straight end of both hydraulic hoses (#26)
through hose sleeve (#29).
f. Install black dust plug (#23) onto straight end of
one of the loader hydraulic hoses (#26).
g. Install green dust plug (#24) onto straight end of
the other loader hydraulic hose (#26).
IMPORTANT:
Ensure adapter fittings (#19 & #14) are
installed into the correct ports of the valve. Refer to
“Detail A” in Figure 1-1 for visual representation.
NOTE:
Identification letters have been engraved
next to each port on the third function valve.
