Four Lower Spear Installation (BS50 & BSE50)

Four Lower Spears
Refer to Figure 1-7:
1. Lubricate full length of tapered holes in lower spear
mounting tubes “A”. Refer to
“Lubricate Spear
Mounting Tube” on page 7 for detailed instructions.
2. Rotate spear (#3) until a square corner along the
length of the spear is facing up.
3. With corner facing up, insert spear (#3) into spear
mounting tube “A”.
4. Secure spear with M30 x 2 eccentric hex nut (#2).
5. Tighten eccentric nut (#2) to the correct torque. See
“Additional Torque Values” on page 24.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the remaining three spears.

IMPORTANT: Install eccentric hex nut (#2) with
chamfer surface facing spear mounting tube “A”.
Two Upper Spikes (BS50 & BSE50)

Two Upper Spikes
Refer to Figure 1-8:
1. Rotate left-hand spike (#3) until notch “C” is in line
with bolt (#2).
2. Insert spike (#3) into mounting tube “B” and tighten
7/16"-14 GR5 bolt (#2) against notch “C” until
torqued tight.
3. Repeat steps 1 to 2 for the remaining spike (#3).
