urazione. Per configurare i router e gli Access Point tramite un browser
Web, è necessario che nella LAN siano già attivi i server DHCP e DNS. Inol-
tre, questi due processi del server devono scambiare tra loro l'assegnazi-
one degli indirizzi IP a nomi simbolici nella LAN.
DHCP: client o server?
Dopo l'attivazione, i dispositivi LANCOM non configurati verificano innanzi-
tutto se nella LAN è già attivo un server DHCP. A seconda della situazione, il
dispositivo può attivare un proprio server DHCP o in alternativa una modalità
client DHCP. In questa seconda modalità operativa il dispositivo può ricevere
un indirizzo IP da un server DHCP già presente nella LAN.
Rete senza server DHCP
In una rete priva di server DHCP, i dispositivi LANCOM non configurati attivano
automaticamente il proprio servizio server DHCP e assegnano agli altri com-
puter collegati alla rete LAN gli indirizzi IP e le informazioni su gateway e altri
componenti, se impostati per il riferimento automatico degli indirizzi IP (DHCP
automatico). In tale situazione, è possibile comunicare con il dispositivo tra-
mite il browser Web da qualsiasi computer dotato della funzione di DHCP
automatico, utilizzando il nome
LANCOM
o l'indirizzo IP
172.23.56.254
.
Se il PC di configurazione non riceve il proprio indirizzo IP dal server DHCP
LANCOM, specificare l'indirizzo IP corrente del computer. Selezionare
