21. Check condition of magneto points, set / replace as necessary. Rebuild every 500 hrs
22. Check magneto to engine timing in accordance with engine data plate
23. Check exhaust system for cracks, security, & condition of gaskets
24. Check intake pipes for condition & leaks
25. Check condition of air box, clean or replace air filter element as necessary
26. Check condition of alternate air system & flapper valves
27. Check engine baffles & cowling for general condition
28. Inspect fuel hoses for general condition
29. Clean injector nozzles
30. Replace or clean fuel filter & screens as necessary
31. Check engine vibration isolators for poor condition & deterioration
32. Check engine mount for cracks & security to firewall
33. Check engine for oil leaks
34. Check prop governor for leaks, security, & condition of cable end
35. Check starter for security & condition
36. Check alternator & mount for security, condition of wiring and belt for condition
and tension
37. Check vacuum pump for security & condition
38. Check tach cable or wiring for security & condition
39. Wash engine. CAUTION: DO NOT CONTAMINATE VACUUM PUMP or INDUC-
TION SYSTEM WITH FLUID.
40. Lubricate engine controls and check for connections & travel
PROPELLER
1. Inspect propeller for cracks, nicks, binds & oil or grease leaks
2. Remove minor nicks & dress blades as necessary
3. Check propeller mounting bolts for torque & safety wiring
4. Check blades for looseness in hub
5. Inspect spinner, screws & bulkhead for cracks & condition
6. Lubricate propeller per manufacturer’s recommendation
CABIN
1. Check seat belts for general condition & defects.
2. Check battery for electrolyte level, S.G. and charge
3. Check battery vent for security & obstructions
4. Clean battery cable terminals if required & reinstall battery
