7. Symbolic explanation
Always note the technical data and symbols on the packaging. The characters and symbols are explained below:
This light fixture has been designed, produced and tested in compliance with strict European safety standards, including DIN
EN 60598 and others.
Protection class I: The light fixture has a protective earth conductor. Connect the protective earth conductor (green-yellow
wire) to the correspondingly marked earth screw.
The light fixture can be mounted on surfaces with normal flammability.
The glass cover must be replaced immediately if damaged. Always ensure that original parts are used exclusively.
Strip the insulation from the wiring as shown in the diagram.
The protective earth conductor must always be longer than the live conductors.
The minimum distance between the spotlight and the illuminated surface equals 0,5m.
8. Disposal instructions
"Green Dot" = The packaging can be recycled.
This light fixture cannot be disposed of as ordinary household refuse, but must be brought to a collecting point for large
electrical and electronic appliances so that they can be recycled. Make sure you are familiar with the regulations governing
separate collection of waste electrical and electronic devices in your country. Correct disposal of your old appliances helps
to protect people and the environment from possible hazards.
Batteries must not be disposed of as household refuse! Spent batteries must be returned to public collecting points in your
community or to any outlet from which batteries are sold.
9. Maintenance/care
Always disconnect the power supply before starting any cleaning, maintenance or repair work. Use a dry or moist cloth for regular cleaning (2
or 3 times per year). Chemicals or abrasives must never be used. A special cleaning agent is recommended for cleaning stainless steel light
fixtures.
The following ambient influences can have an adverse effect on the surface of the product: acid rain or soil, salt-laden air, cleaning agents ,
fertilizer (especially in flower beds), de-icing salt, other chemical substances (e.g. crop protection agents). Only the lamps stated on the
packaging may be used. Never touch halogen lamps with your bare fingers, even when they are cold.
