FAULT-FINDING CHART
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
THE BURNER DOES NOT START
AND THERE IS NO SIGNAL FROM
THE WARNING LIGHT. a) There is no electricity.
b) Fuel is not arriving to the burner. a) Check the fuses
b) Check the thermostats (Room tem
perature, Furnace and safety).
c) Check the fuel line.
THE MOTOR TURNS BUT THERE IS
NO FLAME AND THE SYSTEM SHU-
TS DOWN. a) There is no spark from the
electrodes.
b) The choke is blocked.
c) Fuel is not arriving to the burner.
a) Check the correct position of the
points and clean them.
b) Clean or replace the choke.
c) Check the level of fuel in the tank;
that the valves along the fuel line
are open; clean the fuel and pump
fi lters.
THE BURNER STARTS, THERE IS
A FLAME AND THEN THE SYSTEM
SHUTS DOWN. a) Clean the photo resistance.
b) Clean or change the choke. a) Clean the photo resistance.

THE FLAME IS IRREGULAR, SHORT
AND SHOWS SPARKS. a) The choke is atomising
incorrectly.
b) The pump pressure is too low.
c) There is water in the fuel.

c) Remove the water from the fuel
tank and clean the fi lters.
THE FLAME IS SMOKING. a) The choke is atomising
incorrectly.
b) There is insuf fi cient air in the
combustion.
a) Clean or change the choke.
b) Check that the butter
fl y valve opens
correctly; check that the fan is not
dirty.
