User’s Manual

6.3. Reset to Factory Default

1. Open the Configuration Tool to access the User Management area.

2. Click on Advanced to bring up more options for the LaCie SAFE drive. Click on the “Reset the SAFE...” button to change

either the encryption mode or the Pass Phrase.

Warning!:

Changing one of these two items will cause your drive to be reformatted. This means that all of your

data will be lost.

3. You can also remove the user profiles by checking the “Also remove all the user profiles and fingerprint data” box. All

registered fingerprints will then be erased.
