6.1.2. Accessing the Configuration Tool
For Windows Users:
1. Go to the programs in the Start Menu.
2. Click the LaCie SAFE drive to open the Configuration Tool.
For Mac Users:
1. Go to your Applications folder.
2. Double click the LaCie SAFE drive icon to open the Configuration Tool.
Important Info:
To access the Configuration Tool, the drive must not be mounted on the destop. If it is, then unplug
and replug the drive to access the Configuration Tool.
Important Info:
Since the application is higly secure, you can only have access to it if your SAFE drive is already
plugged into the USB port and if you haven’t swiped your finger over the sensor.
Important Info:
To have a mobile storage solution, we recommend that you install the application on your drive
with the CD once you have installed it on one computer. Simply drag and drop the application from your drive to
the desktop. Then, only users who know the Pass Phrase can acces the Configuration Tool.
6.1.3. Entering the Pass Phrase
1. Enter your Pass Phrase to gain access to the LaCie SAFE drive.
