In the event that your LaCie Slim DVD±RW Drive is not working correctly, please refer to the following checklist to find out
where the problem is coming from. If you have gone through all of the points on the checklist and your drive is still not

Even though LaCie does not provide support nor software for Windows with this product, it can be con-
nected to a FireWire-equipped PC.
Similarly, LaCie does not provide support for Mac OS 9.x any longer but this product can be used with Mac OS 9.x (soft-
ware included on the CD-ROM).

The drive is not recog-
nized.
Is the drive’s power on?
Check to see that all of the power cords are properly connected
and that the switch on the rear of the drive is turned on. If you
are using a surge protector, make sure that it is switched on,
too.
Does an icon for the drive
appear on the computer
(On a Mac a CDROM
must be inserted in the
drive)?
Check for an icon on the Desktop (on a Mac, a disc has to be
inserted in the drive) or in My Computer (on a PC).
