Arm Extended Warning Lights
Two warning lights on the dashboard inform the operator that the arm is out. Do not move the
vehicle until these lights stop flashing.
Temporary Handbrake
N
OTE
:
This section applies only to cabs modified by Labrie Environmental Group. If your cab has not
been modified by Labrie Environmental Group, please refer to the cab manufacturer’s manual.
The temporary handbrake sets the temporary brake on and off and shifts the transmission into either
Neutral
or
Drive
by switching on and off the
Auto-Neutral
system (the
Auto-Neutral
system
switch must be switched ON). The temporary brake is mainly used for stops of short duration when
you work no farther than ten feet from the A
UTOMIZER
V
ERSA
H
AND
TM
, such as the regular and
repetitive stops you do during door-to-door refuse collection. This handbrake is in the form of a
toggle switch located near the right-hand side door and must be switched on only when you have
used the brake pedal to bring the vehicle to a full stop. For longer stops, use the parking brake.

Danger!
Never drive this vehicle if the automated arm is not parked alongside the truck. The unit
would be too high or too wide to be driven. Failure to retract the arm will result in unit
and/or property damage, personal injury or even death. Warning lights on the dashboard
start flashing as soon as the arm begins to extend.
Caution!
Do not leave the vehicle before it has come to a full stop and either the temporary
handbrake and/or the parking brake has been applied. If the vehicle is on a slope or if you
are about to go farther than ten (10)
feet away from it, Labrie Environmental Group
recommends engaging both brake systems for additional safety.
