5.4 SETTING NEW OPERATING TEMPERATURE PARAMETERS
The electric heating system of the appliance is already set by the manufacturer to operate at a temperature of 120 °C in the boiler, cor-
responding to 1 bar boiler pressure. Boiler pressure is viewed on the pressure gauge (
11) situated on the front panel of the appliance.
In order to increase or decrease the boiler pressure, it is necessary to operate on the electric pressure switch (
Fig. 34) which is inside
the machine (on the right side), as indicated here below:
• Turn the adjustment screw anti-clockwise to increase boiler pressure.
• Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to decrease it.

Cut off power while operating on the pressure switch.

Boiler pressure (at operating temperature) is normally modified exclusively in order to
adapt the machine
temperature to the particular type of coffee blend so as to obtain the best result in the
cup.
