Input: Secure Erase –
Secure Erase is an “active low” input signal that within the Targa DTU is gated through a
Maxim MAX6817 switch de-bounce device before being sensed by the SATA disk in the
DTD. Upon detection, the SATA disk has been configured to execute a high speed
“Clear” and FLASH re-initialization sequence. Duration is approximately 60 seconds,
after which the SATA disk must be re-formatted for the target “file structures”
Note:
Erase is activated upon the transition from logic high to logic low
Erase will not trigger if:
Erase logic is low at power-on
Erase logic is low when door closed
