You can type on your phone using various input modes.

You can type on your phone using various input modes.
The methods available include:
1. From a screen where you can enter text, press the Left soft key
to change the text
mode.
2. Select one of the following options:
XT9 Word
to enter text using a predictive text system that reduces the number of
key presses required while entering a word.
Abc
to enter characters by using the alphabet mode in initial capital letters.
ABC
to enter characters by using the alphabet mode in all capital letters.
123
to enter numeric characters.
XT9 Palabra
to enter text using the Spanish XT9 predictive text system.
Symbols
to enter symbols.
Quick Text
to enter preset text messages (if applicable).
Tip:
When entering text, press the *(Shift) key
to change letter capitalization (

Enter Text Using XT9 Word
XT9 is a predictive text input technology which uses the word database to analyze the letters
you enter and create a suitable word.
1. From a screen where you can enter text, press the Left soft key
to change the text
mode.
2. Select the
XT9 Word
text input mode.
3. Press the corresponding keys once per letter to enter a word. (For example, to enter the
word “Bill,” press
.) (If you make a mistake, press

erase a single character. Press and hold
to erase an entire word.)
