Unpacking and checking your Kymera
Ba[ery charging
Ba[ery installaTon
1
Iden=fy a secure loca=on away from all flammable materials with an appropriate
power outlet. Ensure the power outlet is switched off.
2
Verify the charger input voltage shows the correct voltage, for your applica=on.
It will be indicated by a red box next to either 100V~130VAC or 200V~240VAC.
3
Ensure you have good quality power supply which is not likely to spike or brown out. If
in doubt, install a power line filter. Low quality generators with insufficient inverters
can result in charger failure.
4
Turn the wall outlet switch off and connect the charger to the wall outlet or power line
filter (for situa=ons where the wall outlet does not provide good quality power).
5
With the baFery power switch in the off posi=on, connect the charger to the baFery
with the cable with the yellow plug (shown on the leb in this photo)
Make sure the plug is correctly oriented – there’s only one way it can be connected.
6
With everything fully connected, switch on the wall power point. The charger light
should turn GREEN, showing that the baFery is not yet connected (as it is turned off).
7
Switch on the baFery. The charger light should now turn RED, indica=ng that it is
charging the baFery. The light will remain RED un=l the baFery is fully charged, then
it will turn GREEN.
8
THE FIRST TIME YOU CHARGE YOUR BATTERY
Leave the baFery connected for a further hour to give the baFery cells the opportunity
to ’balance’, maximising the life of your baFery and minimise the chance of any
baFery problems.
9
You can now switch off the baFery and the wall outlet, disconnect the baFery from
the charger, and then the charger from the wall. Your baFery is now ready for use.
Return it to its hard carry case and transport with care.
