One Mobile Receiver/Controller, One Standard-
Def Home Receiver, and One Standard-Def DVR
Components Required
•
Splitter Kit, KVH P/N 72-0177
•
Destacker, Dual-output, KVH P/N 19-0410
•
Multiswitch, KVH P/N 19-0123
•
The special DC block (40V) splitter included in
the Splitter Kit permits communications between
the antenna and the primary receiver/controller.
A standard off-the-shelf splitter will not work.
Why Do I Need a Dual-output Destacker?
•
The multiswitch requires two unstacked inputs.
Since the output of the TracVision antenna is a
stacked signal, the dual-output destacker is used
to split the signal into two unstacked signals.
Compatible DIRECTV Receiver Models
•
The TracVision antenna is compatible with all
new DIRECTV-branded, standard-definition
(non-HD) receiver models manufactured today.
Older, non-DIRECTV-branded receiver models
are not supported.
Recording Limitation
•
Since the mobile receiver/controller controls
satellite selection, the DVR can record any
channel that is carried on the currently selected
satellite; however it cannot record a channel that
is carried on a different satellite.
Multiswitch
•
You will need an active multiswitch to connect
multiple components to the TracVision system.
KVH recommends Channel Master model
6314IFD or equivalent. This active (powered)
multiswitch amplifies the signal to compensate
for signal loss.
A passive multiswitch will not
provide the necessary amplification.
