Step 4 - Convert the Feed Tube
(Kits 72-0790 and 72-0797)

Follow the steps below to convert the feed tube.

1.

Using a 3/32" hex key, loosen the three

mounting set screws and remove the feed tube

(see Figure 12).

2.

Carefully position the new feed tube (KVH

part no. 02-2201-02) into the skew collar and

secure with three new set screws (KVH part no.

14-0472-03N). Tighten the screws to 11 in.-lbs of

torque (see Figure 13).

3.

Inspect the inside of the antenna to make sure

you have not left any tools or debris inside.

4.

Reinstall the radome onto the antenna (see

Figure 14). Secure the radome with six new

#10-32 screws (KVH part no. 14-0053-05N).

NOTE: If the customer would like to replace the “V7-IP”
decals on the radome, new “V7-HTS” labels are available
from KVH. A complete V7-HTS radome is also available
for purchase. To order one of these options, email

[email protected]

.

Important!

Use extreme care when removing and installing the
set screws that secure the feed tube to the skew
collar.
