Replacing a front wheel

Remove the screw

with washer on one side. Remove the wheel
axle

Remove the front wheel

If needed, place the sleeves

between the new front wheel and
the fork.

Slide the axle

through the fork, sleeves

and the front wheel

and fix the axle using the screw

. Here, use the new screw
supplied with the wheel as this screw comes with thread-lock
applied.
Function check:
The wheel must not wobble, but must rotate easily.

Remove bolts

and front wheel

Remove screw

and washer

and pull the castor fork

from
the castor pin.
Replace castor fork
F
and secure with screw

and washer

such that the fork has no play.
Re-insert the front wheel.
CAUTION!
Do not overtighten screw
D
, as this can damage the fork bearing.
Function check
Tip the wheelchair backwards 90° so that it is lying on the backrest
and rear wheels.
Turn the fork up (A) and allow it to swivel down.
The fork is adjusted correctly if it just passes the lowest point and
stops there (B).
If the fork moves back when in its lowest position (C), it has not been
tightened enough. There is a risk that the front wheels will start to
wobble when travelling at high speeds.
