3.2 Preparation

This section explains the preparation of the QuickGene-810 for an extraction process
The following procedures must be performed as preparation of the QuickGene-810:

■ 

Preparation items

Before a test run or extraction operation, perform the following: 
• Check all the parts are installed ("1.5 Setup Parts"(

→ 

 page 9)).

• Prepare the following:

- Gloves
- Mask
- Conical Tubes (1 set) (*)
- Collection Tube (CT)                     *provided with the kit
- Waste Tube (WT)                         *provided with the kit
- Cartridge (CA)                              *provided with the kit
- Buffer (wash buffer, elution buffer)   *provided with the kit

(For a test run, use DNase/RNase free water)

- Lysate (Samples)

(For a test run, use DNase/RNase free water)
For the preparation of samples, refer to each kit's handbook.

(*): Conical tubes are used for elution buffer and wash buffer.

Discharge

(1) Check the QuickGene-810 has been 

cleaned.

For clean up procedure, refer to "4.3 Cleaning the
QuickGene-810"(

→ 

 page 32) and "4.4 Cleaning the

Parts"(

→ 

 page 33).

(2) Turn on the power of QuickGene-810.

Take the handle and open the front cover as shown
in the figure.

(4) Check that the Discharge Tray is set on 

the Buffer Stand.
