Cleaning and maintenance

Grilling surface

• Do not use any abrasive agents and sponges

or sharp cleaning agents!  Chemical oven cle-
aners, bleaching agents, rust and spot remo-
vers can have a corrosive effect and damage
the surface of your hob.

• Cleaning agents containing acid or chlorine

must not be used.

Cleaning the appliance when hot:

Apply cold water mixed with washing-up liquid to the hot surface.

Warning: hot steam rises from the appliance when you do this.

Clean the grilling surface with a soft sponge and wipe dry with a cloth.

Clean the grilling surface with washing-up liquid, rinse with clear water and
then wipe dry.

Cleaning the appliance when cold:

Apply boiling water mixed with washing-up liquid to the grilling surface. Cle-
an the grilling surface with a sponge and wipe dry with a cloth.

• Residue from egg white should be rubbed off with vinegar or lemon when

the appliance is cold.

• Avoid dirt burning and becoming encrusted.

• Use the spatula provided to remove coarse cooking residues.

Glass ceramic frame

• Do not start cleaning until the residual heat indicator goes off.

Exception: sugar and melted plastic (see below).

• Encrusted dirt and food which has boiled over should be removed with a

glass scraper.

• Immediately remove any sugar and melted plastic with a glass scraper while

the surface is still hot.

• Heavy dirt and spots which glitter like mother of pearl can be removed with

a cleaning agent for stainless steel.

• Do not use any cleaning cloths or sponges that are used for other purposes.

This can discolour the surface, but the discoloration will not become visible
the next time you use the appliance.

• For the protection and maintenance of the ceramic frame, we recommend

agents produced especially for such surfaces, such as VSR Cleaner or VSR
O-Fix. You can obtain these agents via the Küppersbusch replacement part
service. They protect the frame with a thin, water-repellent and soil-resistant
protective film.

What to do if trouble occurs

Replacement may only be carried out by an authorised gas fitter!

First check whether there has been any operating error.  You can deal with
some problems that occur yourself.

Repairs during the guarantee period are not free of charge, when they are
caused by operating errors or non-observance of the following instructions.
