– Stick the

right

foam moulding

for the installation on the
adherent strips.

Thus a back-flow of warmed air
is prevented from entering the
cool air intake.
This is important for proper
functioning!

Installation above a cover plate:

■

If the hob is built in above a bottom cupboard a cover plate has to be built
into the kitchen cupboard.

■

The built-in cooking surface has an
installation depth of 90 mm (space
between the upper edge and the cover).
If the installation depth is not reached
the aerial guide cannot be installed. If it
is exceeded the aerial guide is not
effective.

– Install the cover plate in the

mentioned installation depth of
90 mm.

Installation above a KÜPPERSBUSCH built-in electric oven.

■

Should the built-in cooking surface be operated with an oven installed
underneath, only KÜPPERSBUSCH built-in baking ovens with appliance
cooling are permitted.

■

The worktop must be 40 - 50 mm thick so that the aerial guide between
built-in baking oven and worktop can be correctly installed. If the installation
depth is not reached the aerial guide cannot be installed. If it is exceeded
the aerial guide is not effective.

– Seal the openings in the ventilation area in the oven top with the enclosed

adherent strips.

– Important: Pay attention to the sealing. It is important not to create an air

short circuit between inlet and outlet side.

Installation above a drawer, only with acc. no. 136.

The induction hob may only be built in above a drawer with the air baffle plate
- accessory no. 136.

– The air baffle plate should be attached in accordance with the instructions

for accessory no. 136.

Only for ceramic-tiled worktops

– Clean the surfaces, apply the sealant in a continuos strip and press the hop

into the opening.

– Remove excess sealant by cutting and clean the sealed surface immediately

with water.

Installation of the hob

Using clips makes it easier and quicker for you to install these units. You can
carry out the complete installation work from above:

■

Always lift the hob by holding it at the sides. Do not lift it by the front bar.

■

Be extremely careful when installing the glass ceramic cooking surface!
Do not place or drop any sharp or pointed tools (screwdrivers, etc.) on the
glass surface!

■

The glass ceramic hob must have a level and flush bearing. Any distortion
may lead to fracture of the glass panel.

– Make sure that the sealing of the hob is properly seated. If the worktop

surface is uneven (tiles etc.), remove the sealing strip and seal with a
heat resistant sealing compound.

– Then drive in the clips into the worktop cut-out as shown in the

illustrations.  It is not necessary to adjust the height due to the horizontal
stop motion device.

–  Worktops with more than 30 mm

thickness:

–  With worktops with 30 mm

thickness the clips have to be
screwed down with two screws (not
supplied)!

– Position the hob according to the illustration on the left side (1), align it

(2) and insert the clips (3).

Should the worktop recess have been cut
out slightly too large, it is possible to
increase the pre-load of the clips by
screwing.
