Safety instructions

For connecting up and functioning

Küppersbusch cookers are made according to relevant safety regulati-
ons. Only Küpperbusch hobs may be connected to Küpperbusch ciruit
elements.

The cookers may only be connected up to the mains, maintained and re-
paired by a qualified electrician according to valid safety regulations.
Work carried out incorrectly places your safety at risk.

Connection leads of electrical appliances may not be placed on the hot
hob or get jammed in the hot oven door.

WARNING!
This appliance must be earthed!

For the cooking surface

Overheated fats and oils may spontaneously ignite. Food involving the
use of fats and oils, e.g. chipped potatoes, may only be cooked under
supervision. Never extinguish ignited fats and oils with water! Put the lid
on, turn off the hotplate and remove the pan from the hot hob.

If cracks, fractures or any other defects appear in your glass ceramic
cooking area, do not use your cooker. Disconnect the fuse.

In glass ceramic cooking areas with warming zones, it is possible for the
warming zone to be switched on unintentionally or by a defect electronic
component. For this reason, no objects which pose a general hazard
may be left on the warming zone even when not in use.

Do not place aluminium foil or plastic on the cooking area.

Before first use

Remove excess materials and packaging. Before preparing food for the first
time, the cooker must be cleaned.

Clean the glass ceramic cooking area or hob, baking trays, drip pan etc.
with a damp cloth and a little detergent.

Heating the hob

(not for glass ceramic hobs)

Consecutively heat up the hotplates for 5 mi-
nutes each at the highest setting.
Air the kitchen well because of the “new
smell”.

Cleaning and care

Control panel

Clean the  control panel with a damp cloth and a little detergent.

Cooking areas

Never use sharp or abrasive agents!

Clean stainless steel hob with commercially available stainless steel po-
lish. Clean glass ceramic cooking surface, enamel hob and hotplates
with a damp cloth and a little detergent.

Remove incrustations and boiled over food from glass ceramic cooking
areas with a glass scraper. Remove sugar and melted plastic immedi-
ately while the cooking area is still hot.
