Ceramic hobs
lock. User can activate keyboard lock
by pressing just one touch button. But
Child Lock needs a specific sequence of
presses. The Child Lock is being used to
prevent children from turning on the
hob.
ACTIVATING CHILD LOCK:
1. The hob is switched on using the
(1) On/Off touch button.
2. No zone should be selected. When no
zone is selected, press (5) increase
power touch button and (4) decrease
power touch button simultaneously
and hold them for 3 seconds. At the
end of this period, you will hear a short
beeping sound.
3. Once the buzzer sounds, tap the
(7) locking touch button (there is no
need to keep it pressed for a long time)
and you will hear a long beeping sound,
the Child Lock will be activated and all
power display will show “L”.
If the user tap any touch button
(including the power button) while the
Child Lock is active, the “L” will flash on
display.
Warning:
Child Lock status is not being
stored. If the hob is de-energised, Child
Lock status is not retained.
DEACTIVATING CHILD LOCK:
To be able to deactivate the Child Lock,
the Child Lock should be activated
before and all power display must show
“L”:
1. Press the (5) increase power touch
button and the (4) decrease power
touch button simultaneously and hold
them for 3 seconds. At the end of this
period, you will hear a short beeping
sound.
2. Once the buzzer sounds, tap the
(7) locking touch button (there is no
need to keep it pressed for a long time)
and you will hear a long beeping sound,
the Child Lock will be deactivated and
indication will be light off.
Cooking at maximum power (Automatic
cook start)
This function makes cooking easier as
you do not have to be present while
it is being done. The touch control
pre-programs the selected hotplate
to operate at maximum power and
then reduces it to the desired power
level (which you have selected) after a
certain approximate period of time (see
table 1).
