INDICATIONS RELATIVE TO THE MACHINE
UNCORRECT USE
Caution:
Using the machine to push other objects or moving on an incline
may result in damage and/or personal injury. The machine must be used exclusively
to sand dry wooden floors that are flat or with a maximum incline of 2%. Do not use
the machine to sand steps or furniture. Do not ride the machine when it is started.
Caution:
Allowing the machine to remain stationary in one point with the
disk running will result in serious damage to the floor being sanded. To prevent
damages to the floor, always approach the stopping point gently. Do not pause when
raising or lowering the disk, but always advance at a constant speed.
STARTING AND STOPPING THE MACHINE
To start the machine proceed as follows:
1.
Make familiar with the machine and read all instructions regarding potential
dangers, warnings and precautions. Make sure that all users have read this
handbook.
2.
Bring the machine into the working area.
3.
Fit the dust bag onto the suction pipe securing it to the flange with the wire
provided.
4.
Fit the abrasive disk as indicated in “FITTING THE SANDING DISK”.
Warning:
Use only 175mm diameter sanding disks.
5.
Locate the main supply. The socket must be compatible with the plug. To
prevent electric shock hazard the socket must be fitted with a 16A fuse.
6.
Insert the plug in the socket.
7.
Keep away the cable from the way of machine.
8.
Raise the disk so that the machine is supported by its wheels only.
9.
Press the GREEN START BUTTON, ON or 1.
10.
Keep the machine moving while the sanding disk is in contact with the floor.
11.
To stop, raise the disk so that the machine is leaning on its wheels and press
the RED STOP BUTTON, OFF or 0.
STARTING:
This machine (only EU version) is fitted with a safety switch. In case of power failure
when working, the switch automatically disables the machine to prevent accidental
restart when power is restored. To resume sanding, repeat the starting instructions
gives above.
Important:
During winter, when the temperature is very low, if the first
starting is difficult, remove the sanding disk and idle it for few minutes so reinsert the
sanding disk and repeat the above mentioned operations.
