Before hitching the machine:
- Set the control lever of the 3-point hitch in a position
that prevents from inadvertent actuation of any
function
- Hitch the machine to the tractor lower links and top
link.
- Fix the tractor lower links to prevent them from lateral
movements.
- Use the 3-point hitch to lift the machine just from the
ground.
- Fix the stabilisers or check chains to prevent sideways
movement of the machine.
- Remove the spring clip
- Lift the support jack fully upwards.
- Install the spring clip.
Couple the PTO drive shaft
- Check the length of PTO drive shaft, before coupling.
PTO drive shaft, see page 74.
- Make sure that the PTO of the tractor is clean and
greased.
- Connect the PTO drive shaft at both the tractor and
machine side.
- Make sure that the sliding ring of the shaft catch with
the slot of the PTO.
- Fit the chains to rigid the positions at both the tractor
and machine to prevent the protection covers from
rotating.
Do not use a hammer
It is not allowed to use a hammer or
equivalent tools to mount the PTO drive
shaft. By using a hammer the PTO drive shaft
can get seriously damaged, which may lead
to machine and tractor damage.
