6.14 Steering lock (antenna)

On this vehicle, the ignition/steering lock is replaced by a remote
key with transponder (Race-on key (
p. 41)).
In order to activate the steering lock, the handlebar must be
turned fully to the left.
The steering is locked and unlocked electromechanically via the
Race
‑
on button ( p. 39).
If the battery voltage of the Race-on key is too low, hold the Race-
on key or the black ignition key in area
A
on the motorcycle and
repeat starting.

As soon as the engine has been started, safely stow away
the Race-on key or the black ignition key again.
Possible states
• Ignition off, steering locked

In this operating mode, the
ignition circuit is interrupted and the steering locked.
• Ignition off, steering unlocked
–
In this operating mode, the
ignition circuit is interrupted and the steering unlocked.
• Ignition on, steering unlocked
–
In this operating mode, the
ignition circuit is closed and the steering unlocked.
