Checking the engine oil level
–
Raise the vehicle using the center stand. ( p. 76)
Danger
Danger of poisoning
Exhaust gases are poisonous and inhaling them may result
in unconsciousness and/or death.
–
When running the engine, always make sure there is sufficient ventilation,
and do not start or run the engine in an enclosed space without an effective
exhaust extraction system.
–
Start the engine and run it until it reaches operating temperature.
Six bars of the temperature display light up.

Switch off the engine.
–
Unscrew oil dipstick

, wipe it off with a cloth and screw it back in all the way.
Unscrew the oil dipstick and read off the engine oil level.
The engine oil level must be between the MIN and the MAX marking on the dipstick.
» If the engine oil level is not at the specified level:
–
Add engine oil. ( p. 167)

Replace the oil dipstick.
