Adjust the shift lever by turning the shift rod.

The position of the shift lever can be greatly varied, depending on the length
of the shift rod and the drill holes selected. As seen from the footrest, there
is either a high position of the shift lever
or a low position of the shift
lever
.

Tighten the lock nuts of the shift rod.
Info
After the counter nuts have been tightened, the bearings of the shift shaft must
be central and aligned identically to each other in order to ensure freedom of
movement in the bearing shells.

Check the shift lever to ensure it is functioning properly and can move freely.
Guideline
The moving parts of the shift lever must have a minimum clearance to the other parts
of the vehicle.
Minimum clearance
5 mm (0.2 in)
