Operating Instructions
Basic Grinder Assembly
Place the motor base
on the base tray
(see figure
The base tray serves as a
sturdy bottom for the motor base and also
catches loose grinds of coffee that may fall
from the grinding chamber.
Inserting The Coffee Storage Container
Assemble the coffee storage container by
placing the coffee storage receiver on top
of the storage container
Cover the storage
container with the lid
(see figure 2).
To attach the coffee storage container to the
motor base, align the pegs at the rear of the
storage container with the holes in the
motor base (see figure
Push inward until
you hear a definitive “click”. The coffee
storage container is now fully engaged.
Grinding Coffee Beans
Setting The Grinding Dial
The grinding dial lets you choose the degree
of fineness to suit all tastes and needs.
At the bottom of the grinding chamber is a
scale with markings ranging from 0 12.
0 7
= very fine results for espresso
8 12 = very coarse results for coffee
By turning the grinding dial to the left or
right, you will vary the level of grinding
results to suit Your needs (see figure
The grinding degree you have chosen
should be in line with the arrow on the
motor base, directly above the “KRUPS”
logo (see figure 5).
Filling The Grinding Chamber
Remove the lid of the grinding chamber la)
and fill with coffee beans (see figure 6).
The maximum quantity the container holds
is 7 oz. or 200 grams of beans. Do not
exceed this quantity; otherwise, not all the
beans will be ground. Place the lid back on
the grinding chamber (see figure 7).
