ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR
CAUTION:
Before repositioning the room temperature sensor, the heating appliance must be cold and
isolated from power by unplugging the power cord.
The VIKING free-standing pellet stove features a room temperature sensor, which works as a control
thermostat. In the default configuration, the room temperature sensor is installed inside the pellet sto-
ve housing. When installing the pellet stove, the installer shall route the room temperature sensor out
of the housing. To do this, remove the access door from the back panel of the pellet stove. The room
temperature sensor is connected to the controller input pins no. 17 and 18 with an 80 cm-long cable.
Route out the cable from the pellet stove housing via the opening in the bottom panel.

FLUE GAS VENTING
All flue vent duct components shall be installed according to their intended use, the manufacturer
requirements specified in respective manuals, and applicable local regulations. The flue gas shall be
vented from the pellet stove via a dia. 80 mm flue chimney duct system. Do not install any flue vent
duct reducers. The maximum flue vent duct horizontal length shall not exceed 2 m. The flue vent duct
must not leave the pellet stove with a downward slope. The flue gas temperature in the duct and the
chimney can exceed 250 °C. All flue vent duct penetrations in walls, floors or roofs must be insulated
from heat. All connection along the flue vent ducts shall be gas-sealed. The routing of the flue vent
duct must permit service access (for e.g. gas tightness testing). It is critical to have the flue gas chimney
safety inspection carried out according to the established schedule (and at least 2 times a year). The
flue vent ductwork must be routed directly to the outside of the building and vertically along a peri-
meter wall until the outlet of the flue chimney is above the roof level (see Fig. 8 a)). The flue gas exhaust
can leave the building via an existing flue chimney, as shown in Fig. 7 b). The clear cross-
