5.1
Design of the Device
The device is made of high-quality, brushed stainless steel.
On the control side there are 2 easily removable maintenance covers that allow for easy maintenance and
service, see chapter 9. The smooth surface of the stainless steel design enables an easy wipe-down,
disinfection, and decontamination of the outer housing walls.
The device is constructed in the air-flow direction as follows:
Base frame with suction opening, inactivating lining,
Pre-filter stage, filter class ePM10 in accordance with ISO 16890, inactivating lining (old M5,
in accordance with EN779),
main filter stage; Filter class H14 in accordance with EN1822, inactivating lining,
Sound absorption elements, arranged on the suction side of the fan,
EC fan,
Sound absorption elements, arranged on the pressure side of the fan,
Activated carbon filter mat, AKS6221,
Discharge elements, on the front side, designed as individually adjustable jet bundle
elements for jet dispersion into the depths of the room,
Discharge elements on the upper cover, designed as a twist outlet for radial, horizontal
jet spread.
The Krantz VIRUS
PROTECT
filter device is also equipped with the following elements:
Power cord, 5 meters long, at the rear,
Main switch, at the rear,
Control panel with LCD display, on the front,
4 buttons for easy preselection of volume flow,
Analog differential pressure transducer for continuous measurement and display of
differential pressures in the pre-filter and HEPA filter stages, as well as the message:
CHANGE FILTER ELEMENT,
Analog differential pressure transducer for continuous measurement, stabilization, and
display of volume flow,
CO

content in room air, as well
as the message: VENTILATION REQUIRED,
4 stable swivel castors with wheel and turntable brakes,
Complete inner lining of the housing and removable maintenance cover with sound-
absorbing materials.

Cleaning of the Device
The stainless steel surface can be cleaned particularly well and thoroughly. For cleaning, we recommend the
use of a commercially available stainless steel cleaner such as is used for kitchen appliances. Apply the
cleaner with the help of a microfiber cloth in the direction of the cut to remove fingerprints, grease stains, etc..
Then rub the surface dry with a lint-free cloth to avoid streaks. If necessary, the VIRUS
PROTECT
can be
cleaned with commercially available disinfectants. The surface structure is not changed by cleaning or
disinfection.
6. Delivery Condition
The device is delivered upright on a pallet. The device is also packed in a sturdy cardboard box with foam
lining, which is lashed to the pallet.
This allows the pallet to be easily transported and lifted with a suitable floor conveyor, e.g. forklifts, pallet
trucks, etc.
Additionally, a ramp is included with the first delivery, which allows the device to be safely lowered from the
pallet.
When lowering the device from the pallet, make sure the device does not tip over. Krantz recommends that
you bring the device upon delivery to its installation site while still in its packaging and only remove the
packaging there.
