Controlling the Device

When

Control of

VP-551X

is selected, connect a system controller to the RS-232 port to

control the device.

Controlling an External Device

When Control of EXTERNAL DEVICE is selected, you can send commands to an acceptor
that is connected to the HDMI output (for example a projector).

To send commands to the HDMI acceptor:

1. In the Navigation pane, click

RS-232

. The Audio RS-232 page appears.

2. Set RS-232 Control to Control of EXTERNAL DEVICE:

3. Under RS-232 Configuration set the RS-232 port parameters to enable communication

with the acceptor.

4. Configure the commands as follows:
