Caution!
Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in accor
-
dance with instructions, certain residual risks
cannot be rules out. The following hazards may
arise in connection with the equipment’s construc
-
tion and layout:
▶ Lung damage if no suitable protective dust mask is
used.
▶ Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protection is used.
▶ Health damage caused by hand-arm vibrations if the
equipment is used over a prolonged period or is not
properly guided and maintained.
BEFORE STARTING THE
EQUIPMENT
Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply
make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical
to the mains data.
Warning!
Always pull the power plug before making adjust
-
ments to the equipment.
CHANGING THE SAW BLADE
Always switch off and unplug the multi-saw before work
-
ing on the machine or changing the saw blade.
Turn the ring on the blade holder until the blade lets it
-
self be slipped into the slot of the blade holder.
When you now let go of the ring again, the ring should
return to its starting position.
If this fails to happen, try turning the ring by hand into its
starting position.
Pull on the blade to check whether it sits tightly in the
holder.
ADJUSTING THE SOLEPLATE
Warning!
Pull out the power plug.
To adjust the soleplate, press the soleplate locking but
-
ton on the right-hand side (looking from the bottom) in or
-
der to unlock the soleplate. Set the required distance and
press the soleplate locking button on the left-hand side
(looking from the bottom) in order to lock the soleplate
again. Check that the soleplate is secure.
OPERATION
ON/OFF SWITCH
To switch on:
Press the ON/OFF switch.
To switch off:
Release the ON/OFF switch.
LOCKING BUTTON
You can lock the ON/OFF switch using the locking but
-
ton when the equipment is in operation. To switch off the
equipment briefl y hold down the ON/OFF switch.
ELECTRONIC STROKE RATE CONTROL
Use the wheel selector to set the required blade speed.
The general rules for cutting speeds for cutting work
apply.
USE AS A JIGSAW
Place the multi-saw on the material to be cut as shown in
Fig. 4. Switch on the multi-saw and push it along against
the material to be cut. Adapt your cutting speed to the
material.
REPLACING THE POWER CABLE
Danger!
If the power cable for this equipment is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales ser
-
vice or similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Danger!
Always pull out the mains power plug before
starting any cleaning work.
CLEANING
▶ Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor hous
-
ing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the
equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with com
-
pressed air at low pressure.
▶ We recommend that you clean the device immediately
each time you have finished using it.
▶ Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and
some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or sol
-
vents; these could attack the plastic parts of the
