Before First Use
• Remove all packaging material and check whether the
appliance is complete.
• Place the appliance on an even, non-slippery and heat
resistant surface.
• Fully unwind the power cord (7) and connect the appliance
to a properly installed wall socket.
Note: The cooking plates (5) have a protective coating. To
remove the protective layers on the heating elements, heat
up the cooking plates (without food) for a few minutes.
This could cause a slight build-up of smoke and odour.
This doesn’t cause any harm nor does it mean that your
appliance does not work properly. Make sure that the room
is well ventilated!
After this preheating process your Sandwich Maker 3 in 1 is
ready for operation. Let it completely cool down and clean it
as described under
Cleaning and Care.
Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and
babies, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation.
Exchanging the cooking plates
Always make sure that the appliance is unplugged
and completely cooled down. Risk of burns!
• To remove the cooking plates (5), press down the release
button (6) and slide it forward.
• To insert the cooking plates (5), insert the prongs of the
cooking plates into the drilling holes of the appliance and
make sure they click into place.
